Pacific Legacy Announces New Leadership!
Pacific Legacy is pleased to announce the election of new corporate officers. Beginning in January 2021, Hannah Ballard will serve as Pacific Legacy’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Hannah has worked for Pacific Legacy since 1994. Hannah will lead the Berkeley Office, which will function as the Principal Executive Office, and as a Principal Investigator for California Projects. Samantha Schell has been named Chief Operations Officer for the California Region. Samantha has worked for Pacific Legacy since 1997 and will continue in her role as Director of Business Development to lead our strategic planning initiatives and as a project manager based in our Berkeley Office. Hannah and Samantha have each worked with the founding partners for over 20 years. Mara Mulrooney has joined Hannah and Samantha as a partner in Pacific Legacy. Mara has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors and as Chief Operations Officer for the Pacific Region. Mara has been co-leading Pacific Legacy’s Hawai‘i office with founding partner Paul Cleghorn for the past two years. She has brought with her a range of expertise from her previous position as Director of Cultural Resources at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu. She will manage operations and act as the Principal Investigator for projects in Hawai‘i and the Pacific. Lynn Manfree has been reelected as Chief Financial Officer and Business Manager and is now based in our El Dorado Hills office, which has been designated as the Principal Business Office.
The three founding partners, Paul Cleghorn, John Holson, and Robert Jackson will continue as Principals of Pacific Legacy. They will continue to manage projects, play important roles in contract management, and serve as advisors for each of our three offices. As Paul, John, and Rob modify their responsibilities in the company, they will assist Hannah, Samantha, and Mara in their leadership to ensure that this transition is seamless, and that Pacific Legacy continues to be a leader in Cultural Resources Management in California and the Pacific Basin.
